Vanessa Tru (Lead Piercer & Owner)

Vanessa’s intense passion for fine jewelry & pristine piercings drove her to create the unique boutique that Tru Piercings is known for.

In 2012, Vanessa began her apprenticeship and dove right into the tattoo & piercing industry. Although her apprenticeship began at a low end street shop, Vanessa worked hard at upgrading and sought out further education to advance her skills and knowledge to where it is today. She attends APP conferences every year to stay up to date with new techniques and jewelry innovations. She also travels all over the country to other respected studios to learn about their practices and to learn hands on how to perfect her craft.

As a child, Vanessa’s love of jewelry was apparent. Her Nana called her a “Christmas Tree“ because she would adorn herself with as much jewelry as possible: stacked rings, necklaces, anklets and bracelets galore! She loved all things girly & piercings were a normal part her life. One of her earliest memories was of her mother getting a navel piercing. She was absolutely amazed that you could adorn parts of your body besides ear lobes! A inspirational spark was ignited and it continues to grow year by year.

Creating experiences for clients that want fine jewelry for their piercings became the focus of Vanessa’s business model. Vanessa specializes in curating jewelry for ear and body piercings and has become known for her delicate, elegant style. She’s known for coming up with unique ideas to accentuate the wearers ears and personality. She particularly loves working with dainty gold jewelry, genuine gemstones, chains & charms.

Bridge Ozuna (Professional Piercer & Stylist)

Meet Bridge, our new piercer! From South Texas, Bridge has been practicing the art for eight years. Starting her career in 2014, they faced challenges but turned them into opportunities for growth. Always hungry for knowledge, Bridge tries to attend seminars and conferences to refine their craft, ensuring top-notch piercings.

Bridge's love for piercing started young, inspired by the transformative journey of body modification. Piercing, for them, is more than a job; it's a spiritual adventure shared with others in a safe and expressive space.

At Tru Piercings, Bridge blends expertise with creativity, crafting personalized experiences for each client. They particularly enjoy working with gold, genuine stones, textures, chains, and charms, helping clients make bold statements that reflect their personalities. Whether it's intricate ear piercings or bold, maximalist nose piercings, Bridge takes pride in tailoring each style to enhance individuality.
