Vanessa Tru (Lead Piercer & Owner)

Hi, I’m Vanessa! I’ve been piercing since 2012—I actually got my start with an apprenticeship at a little street shop and just kept building from there. Over the years, I’ve worked really hard to refine my skills and create the kind of boutique piercing experience I always wished existed, which is how Tru Piercings came to life.

People usually tell me I have a gentle touch, and that I’m the easiest piercer they’ve ever had—that’s exactly what I aim for. I love guiding people through the whole process, from picking out jewelry to that last deep breath before the piercing.

Jewelry has been a love of mine since I was a kid—my Nana used to call me a “Christmas Tree” because I always piled on as much as I could. These days I’m more into curating softer, daintier looks with chains, charms, and a lot of personality.

Outside of the studio, I’m a mom to my amazing daughter, who’s the light of my life. I also share this dream with my partner Richard—he runs the tattoo side of things at Prestige Collective Tattoo. We actually opened our doors together four years ago, right around turning 30, which had been our goal all along.

At the end of the day, I just really love what I do and the people I get to meet. If you’re ever looking for someone who can make you feel at ease and help you find your style, I’d be stoked to be that person for you.

Hi, I’m Dani! I’ve been piercing for about 7 years, and from the very beginning, my focus has always been on creating a calm, relaxed experience for every client. I love helping people feel comfortable and taken care of, whether it’s their first piercing or they’re coming in to fine-tune their look.

Clients often tell me I have a really soothing energy, and that’s something I’m proud of. I take my time, walk you through the process, and make sure you feel confident from the moment we start picking out jewelry to the very end of your appointment. Styling is one of my favorite parts of the job — I love curating pieces that feel intentional, balanced, and totally you.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m a proud mom of three and soaking up family time whenever I can. I’m also a bit of a couch potato on my days off, but don’t be surprised if we end up chatting and laughing during your appointment — I’m always down for a little chisme and girl talk. 💕
