Do you accept walk-ins or are you by appointment only?
You’re always welcome to stop by for a walk-in, but we do prioritize appointments to make sure you get the time and attention you deserve (and skip the wait!).
Booking is easy—just hit the “Book an Appointment” button in the menu, choose your preferred time, and you’re all set!
Heads up: we ask for a credit card to reserve your spot. If you need to cancel, no worries, but please give us at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee. You can manage it all through the GlossGenius app.
And one more thing—if you dispute a no-show fee, we’ll need to review your account, as it’s against our policy. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you soon!
Where are you located?
We’re tucked inside Prestige Collective Tattoo, right by Wonderland of the Americas Mall—super easy to find! Just look for the big "TATTOO" sign and the street sign that says "PIERCINGS." If you see South Garden Chinese or Cash America Pawn nearby, you’re in the right spot.
Need help finding us? Just pop "Prestige Collective Tattoo" or "Tru Piercings" into your GPS, and we’ll be ready to greet you when you arrive!
How much do you charge?
Our piercing fees range from $45 to $60 for a single piercing, and we love to offer a deal! If you’re getting more than one piercing during the same session, it’s just $35 for each additional piercing (excluding genital and surface piercings).
Jewelry prices vary based on your style and choice of materials. We have options for every budget! Our titanium beads start at $25, while our stunning gold tops start at $55 and can go up depending on the design—some of our high-end pieces can reach $800 and beyond. Whatever you choose, we’ve got something perfect for you!
We make payment easy too! We accept cash, American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay—so you can choose whatever works best for you.

Why do you charge more than other shops in the area?
We truly care about giving you the best possible experience. Our pricing reflects the time, care, and skill we put into every piercing. We make it a priority to stay updated on the latest techniques by attending industry conferences and visiting reputable studios, so you always receive the best service.
We know our prices might be a little higher than some, but we believe in fair compensation for our skilled team and in using high-quality materials that are safe and beautiful. We're here to ensure that every piece of jewelry and every piercing feels special and personal to you.

What do you use to sterilize my jewelry?
Your safety is our top priority, and we take cleanliness very seriously. We use a Statim autoclave to carefully sterilize all tools and jewelry before every piercing. Each tool is thoroughly washed, ultrasonically cleaned, and then autoclaved, ensuring everything is completely sterile.
For every procedure, we only use new needles and jewelry—nothing is ever reused. Plus, we run monthly spore tests to double-check that our equipment is working perfectly.
We want you to feel confident and comfortable knowing that you’re in safe, clean hands with us.
What do I need to be pierced by you?
For clients 18 and older, all you need is a valid state ID. You’ll fill out a quick form, and don’t forget to bring your ID each time you come in for a new piercing!
If you’re between 15-17, here’s what you’ll need:
A valid state-issued ID that matches your parent or guardian’s ID (same last name and address).
Your parent or guardian must be present with their own state ID.
Please note, we are currently not offering ear lobe piercing services for minors ages 3-14. We appreciate your understanding!
We’ll make the process smooth and easy—just bring the right paperwork, and we’ll take care of the rest!

To keep things fresh, we rotate our jewelry selection every 6-8 months, carefully curating new, exciting pieces. While we have a special love for gold, we also offer a titanium bead option for those looking for something affordable. And no matter your choice, we’ve got a wide range of sizes to ensure the perfect fit for you!

Is there anything I should do to prepare for my appointment?
Absolutely! Here are a few tips to help make your appointment as smooth and comfortable as possible:
Bring your ID: For adults, a valid government-issued ID is a must for verification.
Eat beforehand: We recommend grabbing a meal about 4 hours before your appointment to keep you feeling steady and prevent any lightheadedness during your piercing.
Dress comfortably: If your piercing is anywhere other than your face or ears, wear clothing that’s easy to remove. For nipple piercings, a non-padded bra and a button-down shirt are ideal. Genital piercings? Loose-fitting bottoms and breathable cotton underwear will help keep things comfy. And, just so you know, we provide free menstruation products in our pink bathroom in case you need them before or after your genital piercing.
Minimal makeup for facial piercings: If you’re getting a facial piercing, go light on the makeup (or skip it altogether) since we’ll need to wipe the area clean.
Hair up for ear piercings: If you're getting an ear piercing, have your hair pulled back or bring a hair tie or bobby pins to keep it out of the way.

What if you don't have the jewelry I'm looking for?
At the moment, we’re not offering custom jewelry orders due to some outstanding wait times—thanks for your patience!
But don’t worry! We have an amazing rotating selection of jewelry, so there’s always something new and exciting to choose from. If we don’t have exactly what you’re after, feel free to ask us for suggestions. We’re happy to help you find something just as stunning that fits your style!

Everyone’s different, and we totally get that some people might feel more nervous or sensitive than others. But here’s the thing—it’s not just about the piercing itself. There’s that moment when you take a deep breath, and suddenly, it’s over. Sometimes, that little release is more than physical—it’s a feeling of letting go or even celebrating something meaningful.
We’re here to make sure your whole experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible. We’ll guide you through each step, keep you feeling calm, and before you know it, we’ll be celebrating together!

Why do I need to come back for new jewelry? (Downsizing)
Your downsizing appointment is essential for keeping your piercing both healthy and comfortable! When you first get pierced, we use longer jewelry to allow for swelling. Once that swelling goes down, it’s super important to switch to a shorter piece that fits properly. Trust us—ill-fitting jewelry isn’t just uncomfortable, it can also affect the healing process and even cause snagging or those dreaded piercing bumps.
Plus, no one likes jewelry that doesn’t fit right. All of our posts are made from implant-grade titanium, which helps reduce costs since you’ll need to replace it once the swelling subsides. You may need more than one downsizing to get the perfect fit, and we’re here to guide you through each step to make sure your jewelry looks and feels great!
So, don’t skip your follow-up appointment. It’s a small step that makes a big difference in how your piercing heals and looks in the long run.
Do you offer genital piercings?
Yes, we do! Genital piercings are a deeply personal experience, and we’re honored to be part of that journey with you. Whether it’s about reclaiming bodily autonomy, marking a special moment, or simply exploring something new, we’re here to guide you with care and respect.
Your comfort and privacy are incredibly important to us. All genital piercings are performed in a private, locking room, so you can feel completely at ease during your appointment. We have two experienced piercers, both women, who are here to make sure the process is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
We also have experience working with Trans clients and take consultations seriously. We’ll always be upfront with you, and if we ever feel a second opinion is needed, we’ll refer you to someone else to ensure your safety and well-being come first.
Where are the piercings performed? Will I have privacy?
All of our piercings are done in a private room with a locking door, giving you complete privacy throughout the procedure. We usually close the door to ensure your comfort, but if you’d prefer to keep it open, just let us know—we’re here to make sure you feel as relaxed as possible.
Am I allowed to bring friends into the back with me?
Absolutely! Feel free to bring one friend along for moral support—we know it can help to have someone with you. We do recommend keeping it to just one person to maintain a calm and comfortable atmosphere for you. Large groups can get a little distracting, so they’ll be asked to hang out in the waiting area to help keep the vibe relaxed.
Can I bring my children?
To help keep the studio calm and comfortable, we kindly recommend arranging childcare for your little ones before your appointment. This way, you can fully relax and enjoy the experience! Individuals under 18 (unless they're getting their ear lobes pierced) aren’t allowed in the shop. If you arrive with a child, we may need to reschedule, and a cancellation fee could apply—but we’re happy to find a time that works better for you.However, if you have an infant who is bottle-fed, breastfed, or not yet walking, and can relax in a stroller or car seat, they’re welcome to join you.
What about tipping? I’m not quite sure how this works with piercings or tattoos.
We get asked about tipping a lot! When it comes to piercings (and tattoos), tipping is always appreciated. It’s a lovely way to show your appreciation for the care and skill we put into our work—and yes, it helps us treat our loved ones and pets at home!
The amount is totally up to you! If you were happy with your experience, a tip is a wonderful way to say thanks. We’ve even received some thoughtful gifts in the past—rocks, minerals, snacks, drawings—you name it! It’s truly the thought that counts. Generally, a tip between 15% to 25% of the total cost is standard, and the best part? Your piercer keeps 100% of the tip!
If possible, cash tips are always appreciated, but you can also add a tip with your card at the end of your service.
